Raymond Lloyd LeRoux'Lash'Racine- Raymond Lloyd LeRoux, 80, passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 14, 2007.Lloyd was born in Gladstone, MI on April 19, 1927 to Arthur and Myrtle (nee: Larson) LeRoux. He served his country in the United States Navy. Lloyd was stationed on the USS Riverside from 1942 when the ship was commissioned until 1946 when the ship was decommissioned. After serving the in the Navy, Lloyd enlisted in the United States Army. He married Audrey 'Boots' Jensen in Waukegan, IL on March 3, 1949. Lloyd was a carpenter superintendent in the building industry for 38 years, retiring in 1989. He was employed with Halverson Home Builders, Korndoerfer Construction and Marino Construction. He was a member of the Local 161. Lloyd liked to travel to Montana, Maine, and Florida.He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Audrey 'Boots' LeRoux; daughters, Patricia (Jim) Sodke and Debbie LeRoux; sister, Dorine Justman; brother in law, Ralph (Carol) Jensen; sister in law, Kathleen LeRoux; 2 beautiful granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Kira Sodke; and his best pal Sir Toby. Lloyd is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Clifford and father and mother in law, Stanley and Bernice Jensen.Funeral services for Lloyd will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Mary Janz and Chaplain Julia Curcio officiating. Private family interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:30 until the time of services. Memorials to Emmaus Lutheran Church or Wheaton Franciscan Home Health and Hospice have been suggested. The family wants to thank Chaplain Julia, Chaplain Scott, nurses Mary Jo, Kathy, Susan and Mindy; Aides Jill, Shelly, and Joan from Wheaton Franciscan Home Health and Hospice for their thoughtfulness and tender loving care and to neighbors and friends for all of their help.
