Raman RangarajanRacine- Raman Rangarajan, 63, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Wheaton Franciscan Medical Center. Raman was born in Bangalore, India on November 1, 1943 to Sakunthala and Aravamudhan Rangarajan. He was the loving husband of Jaisree and the adoring father of Krsna and Rohit. Raman received his undergraduate degree from Vivekananda College in Madras, India. He received graduate degrees in Analytical Chemistry from Miami University of Ohio and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was head chemist at Carma Laboratories in Franklin, Wisconsin for over 20 years. Recently he was the lead researcher in the development of flavored Carmex-resulting in a major breakthrough in Carmex formulation. Raman was an avid reader, a sports enthusiast and had an insatiable appetite for learning. Other survivors include his brother R. Raghupathy and uncles K Srinivasan and K Vijayar. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends and colleagues.A Visitation will take place on Friday, May 18, 2007 at Purath-Strand Funeral Home, 3915 Douglas Avenue in Racine, Wisconsin from 3:00 pm until 6:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare for their care and compassion.
