Racine – Pierrette "Frenchy" Gruber, nee Texier, 79, passed away at Kenosha Hospital on Saturday, November 7, 2009 Pierrette was born in Foussignoc Charente, France on October 31, 1930 to Lucien M. and Eva (nee, Moreaux) Texier. On September 29, 1956, she married Kenneth H. Gruber in Angouleme, France. He preceded her in death. Pierrette loved the outdoors, especially gardening and nature. She was active in fishing and always helping friends in their time of need. She was also a member of the French Club and St. Rita's Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughter, Barb (Dave) Hince; son, Keith (Sue) Gruber; 7 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Jean Texier; sister, Louisette Texier; and brother-in-law, Howard (Carol) Gruber. Pierrette is also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends. The Mass of Christian Burial for Pierrette will be held at St. Monica's Senior citizen's Home, 3920 N. Green Bay Road, on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at St. Monica's on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass.
