Obituary
Phoebe C. Taskinen, 104 passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Lakeshore at Siena, Caledonia.
She was born in Marion on September 27, 1920 to the late Albert and Emgaard (nee: Nordwig) Schilling.
On September 27, 1941 Phoebe married Roy W. Taskinen. Sadly, he passed away October 20, 2009.
She was a beautician for over 50 years and worked at Deluxe Beauty Shop. She also worked at Racine Dry Goods, Zayre's and Wingspread with her friend Gerry.
Phoebe was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Brewers and Jeopardy, solving crossword puzzles, and playing cards and bingo. She also enjoyed bus trips to various shows and casinos and traveling to Bowling Green, FL. Phoebe kept journals for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Ann (Carl) Wondra; grandchildren, Chad (Heidi), Kimberly (Karl), Teresa and Bill; her 9 great-grandchildren and her 3 great- great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law Dale Andrea Bonn and Robert Bonn and her brothers Albert Jr. and Lloyd Schilling.
Memorial services for Phoebe will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
