Racine – Perry Paragamian, 93, passed away at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Perry was born in Racine on April 25, 1932 to Vahan and Satenig (nee: Halapian) Paragamian.
Perry married the former Patricia Jane Clazmer at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church in Racine on January 25, 1958. She preceded him in death on October 21, 2022.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Perry was a graduate of William Horlick High School in 1951 and UW Milwaukee with a B.S. in Economics. He was employed with JI Case Company for 27 years as a manager in Administrative Services and was a sales representative for Newton Manufacturing for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, serving on the Parish Council, member of St. Mesrob retirees club, and a greeter at St. Mesrob Church. He also served as Treasurer of the building committee and was the chairman of Armenian Fest for many years. Perry was a member of the JI Case 20-year club and a member of the Racine Moose Lodge.
Perry enjoyed all sports, both watching and participating. He was an avid Packer, Brewers and Bucks fan. He loved to golf, bowl and play basketball with his kids and grandkids. Perry loved to cook out and was known as the "grill man". He was devoted to and loved his family.
Perry is survived by his children Christine (Jon) Pappas, Terrie (Todd) Larson, Lisa (Jim) Mahnke, and Brian (Jodi) Paragamian; grandchildren Caitlin (Kevin) Catarozoli, Carly (Ian) Zelko, Marissa (Erika) Mahnke, Cameron Mahnke, Christopher (Kayla) Pappas, Erika (Fonzie) Martinez; Anthony (Kayla) Gonzales. Great Grandchildren: Leighton, London, August, Sophia, Penelope, Olivia, Cristiano, Roman, Andre, Jocelyn and Malachi. Perry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Louis (Jo) Paragamian, Sam Paragamian, and Albert (Tillie) Paragamian.
Funeral Services for Perry will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 4605 Erie Street. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Graceland cemetery on Tuesday, January 20 at 10:00 a.m. Please meet at the cemetery entrance.
