RACINE – Peggy Dabney Shaffer, 71, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.Peggy was born on March 2, 1944 at McDill AFB in Florida to Loren and Dora (Baisinger) Bell. Raised by her stepfather Richard Dabney in Ohio, who brought her to Nebraska during summers to visit her family. She met her husband James while attending UW-Madison. Peggy moved to Racine with her husband in 1973. She worked for the Lakeshores Library System for years before she retired in 2010. Peggy loved books, gardens, genealogy, and quilting. Survived by her husband James Shaffer and her daughter Jessica Dickerson. A memorial visitation for Peggy will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. A time of sharing will be held at 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
