Racine – Pearl M. Gergen, 85, passed away at Willowcrest Care Center in South Milwaukee on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Pearl was born in Racine, WI on May 25, 1927 to George and Ida (nee, Maass) Frank. She married Dennis M. Gergen at Trinity Lutheran Church on April 9, 1948. Pearl retired from Western Publishing Company after more than 25 years. Pearl is survived by her daughters, Jean (James) Maddocks, Jr. of Madison, WI, Lynn (Steve) Bauer of La Grange Highlands, IL and Gail (John) Letizia of Iron River, WI; six grandchildren, Patrick (Jessica) Maddocks, Meghann (Brian) Rapp, Lisa (Neil) Weir, Lori (Eugene) Aiello, Sarah (Matthew) Murray, and Keith (Jennifer Kelly) Letizia; and ten great grandchildren. Pearl is also survived by sister-in-law, Cheryl Miller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Gergen; parents; grandson, Timothy Letizia; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Shirley Frank; brother-in-law, Chuck Gergen; brother-in-law, Donald Miller; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Neil and Shirley Gergen. Funeral services for Pearl will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
