Racine – Paul S. Lohman, 74, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Saturday, March 29, 2014.Paul was born in Calumet, MI on December 26, 1939 to Thomas and Rose (nee, Rosenberger) Lohman. On February 24, 1962, he married the former Rose Marie Visocky in Mason, WI. He entered the U.S. Army after graduation and became a paratrooper. He was employed by Laddish Drop Forge Company for over 46 years, retiring, April 30, 2009. Paul was a Charter Fishing Captain along with his wife Rose on the Rose Marie charter boat for 28 years. Paul enjoyed hunting, but most of all he loved fishing and being with his granddaughters, children and his customers. He joined Salmon Unlimited in 1973. Paul is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Lohman; children, Jeffery Paul Lohman and Tracy Lee (Daniel) Derby; and granddaughters, Randi Nicole (Kevin) Offenbacher and Kristen Lynn Derby and special friend Zachary Robinson; great grandson, Kayden Alan Offenbacher; sisters, Dorothy (John) Pietila of Calumet, MI and Mary (Theodore) Weldman of Negaunee, MI; and brothers, Thomas (Carol) Lohman of Westland, MI and Donald (friend, Janet) Lohman of Ishpeming, MI. Paul is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John "Jack" Lohman; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and LaVerne Bartes; infant sister, Patty Lohman; and sister-in-law, LaVerne "Lovie" (Donald) Lohman A Memorial Mass for Paul will be held at St Mary by the Lake Parish, 7605 Lakeshore Road, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 10 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Stephen J. Stradinger. Inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wisconsin Humane Society in Racine County, St. Mary's by the Lake Parish, the National Cancer Foundation or Cancer research.
