RACINE – Patrick C. Bever, 89, passed away at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Pat was born in Fairchild, WI on March 24, 1927 to Peter and Theresa (nee, Brandsteder) Bever. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 – 47 in Italy with the Military Police. On May 20, 1950, he married the former Betty J. Tower at St. Edward Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on August 25, 1995. Pat retired from Young Radiator Company after more than 44 years. He also worked for Piggly Wiggly for many years. Pat was a longtime member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Survivors include his children, Timothy (Lynn) Bever, Bonnie (Tom) Dalton, Cindy Brower and Penny (Ronald) Timo; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Barbara Bever, Frances Bever and Joseph Bever; his sister, Shirley (Ralph) George. Pat is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roman, Peter, Leonard, Edward and Lawrence; sisters, Beatrice Bever and Loretta Linder; and great granddaughter, Ahnika Alesch. The Mass of Christian Burial for Pat will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church, 1425 Grove Avenue, on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Allen Bratkowski. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
