Patricia I. Rosenberg, 86, was called home by her Savior, Jesus, on Monday, October 26, 2020.Pat was born in Racine on May 26, 1934 to the late Oliver and Edna (nee, Stuebe) Bronson. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Roger T. Rosenberg for 56 years until his death in 2010.Survivors include her children, Lynn Stowe, Dr. Dean (Liz) Rosenbergand Kurt (Christa) Rosenberg; grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Sondra, Anna, Claire and Erin; and her sister, Gloria Mielke.Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, were her sisters Dorothy Schweitzer, Lillian Urban, Carol Leslie, Marie Steberl, and son-in-law, Michael Stowe.Pat attended St. John's Lutheran Grade School and Horlick High School, where she sang in a choral group called the Sexy Sextet and played intramural volleyball and softball. After graduation she worked as an administrative assistant at Racine Hydraulics/ Dana Corp until devoting herself as a fulltime wife and mother. She was an excellent cook and was able to grow the most beautiful roses. Pat enjoyed singing in the church choir, attending Bible study, playing tennis and more recently attending Friday night dinners with the "Fish Girls". She was the receptionist for Roger's optometric practice at Racine Optical Company for twenty years.Always a woman of action, Pat volunteered throughout her life. She was a room mother, softball coach, tutor for twenty-five years at Trinity Lutheran Grade School, a lunchroom volunteer at Racine Lutheran High School, a hospice volunteer, a board member for Human Concerns at St. John's Lutheran Church, a board member for her condo association, a volunteer at the Lutheran High Thrift Store, an usher and offerings team member at Trinity Lutheran Church, and an usher for the Racine Theater Guild. In 2011 Pat received the "Volunteer of the Year Award" from the Volunteer Center of Racine County, not only for her service tutoring children, but for her positive, caring attitude and enthusiastic personality. The nomination states, "This grandmother serves our community just to be helpful, seeking no recognition. She is a fine Christian woman who has successfully raised three strong Christian children and numerous grandchildren. Her attitude and positive influence will be a force for generations to come." The generations of children who have learned from her, loved her and call her "Grandma Pat" most certainly agree. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her and loved her.Funeral services for Pat will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, on Saturday November 7, 2020 at 8:30am and 10:00am, with limited attendance.
