Allouez, WI – Ottilie 'Tillie' (nee, Hansch) Paragamian, 89, passed away at Allouez Parkside Village in Green Bay with her daughter by her side on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Tillie was born in Poland on October 3, 1923 to Leonard and Hulda (nee, Juben) Hansch. During the Polish-Russian War her family was forced out of Poland and moved to Germany. In 1952, she left Germany to come to the United States on the General Sturgis through New York City. On December 28, 1963 Tillie married Albert Paragamian. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2011. She was a member of St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church. She had a special love for cooking, gardening and of course her grandchildren. Tillie is survived by her daughter and son in law, Debbie and Gary Stelzer; grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob and Shelby Stelzer; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Perry & Patricia Paragamian, and Beverly Paragamian; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tillie was preceded in death by her infant son, David; sisters, Elsie and Herta; and brothers-in-law, Sam and Lou Paragamian.Private family services will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church with Fr. Yerprem Kelegian officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials to St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church have been suggested.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Allouez Parkside Village and also Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion they provided Tillie over the past two years.
