REDONDO BEACH, CA – Orlando J. Lee, 73, passed away in Torrance, CA on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Orlando was born in Racine on July 14, 1941 to James and Irene (nee, McGruder) Lee. He graduated from Horlick High School in 1960, where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. Following high school, Orlando moved to California and attended Los Angeles City College and received his Bachelor's Degree from Cal State LA. He received his Master's Degree in Special Education from Cal Lutheran. Orlando's career with the Los Angeles Unified School District lasted over thirty-five years. His passions were coaching his son in Little League Baseball, playing basketball with the Johnny Brown All Stars and playing handball. Orlando loved socializing with friends in California and when he returned to his hometown, Racine. Most of all he loved being with his family. Orlando is survived by his wife, Marilyn K. (nee, Bunce) Lee; former wife, Lora Lee; children, Tracy, Kim and Gregory; grandchildren, Dakotah, Jake, Hunter, Marley and Max; and his mother, Irene Lee. Orlando is also survived by other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services for Orlando will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
