Norman R. Andersen Racine - Norman R. Andersen, 75, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Sunday, March 22, 2009. Norman was born in Racine on December 13, 1933 to Christian and Martha (nee, Koeller) Andersen. He married the former Marilyn Neuman at Trinity Lutheran Church on May 7, 1955. Norman and Marilyn met when employed together at AllOver Clipper Company. Norman than worked for Don Hutson Chevrolet for over 30 years, before moving to Palmen Motors in Kenosha where he worked for 11 years until his retirement in 1996. Norman was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a volunteer with the Racine Lutheran High School Thrift Store. He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time at Found Lake near St. Germain, WI, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Norman is survived by his wife, Marilyn Andersen; sons, Richard (Tammy) Andersen and Mark (Jeannie) Andersen; grandchildren, Karrica Andersen, Mark Andersen, Ryan Andersen and Olivia Andersen; his sister, Betty Krewal; and brother-in-law, Richard Neuman. Norman is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Norman will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings and Rev. David Gehne officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Racine Lutheran High School or the American Cancer Society. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Richard Odders and his staff at the Racine Cancer Center; all the nurses on the second floor at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints; and the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice; and especially Norman's home nurse, Barb Proesser for all of their compassionate care of Norman.
