RACINE – Noraine May Bahrs, nee, Beyer, 89, passed away at Lakeshore Manor on Monday, September 14, 2015. Noraine was born in Racine on May 23, 1926 to Edmund and Leona Beyer, Sr. On June 27, 1945, Noraine married Ervin F. Bahrs. He preceded her in death. Noraine retired from Rainfair after more than 38 years of employment. She served as ILGW Union President at Rainfair. Noraine enjoyed many years of family road trips camping and was a world traveler, visiting China, Egypt, Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica and Guatemala. She also was a member of a senior bowling league; took great pride in her floral garden and landscaping; and was the best cook in the world. Survivors include her children, David (Gina) Bahrs and Deborah (Mike) Scott; grandchildren, Brooke (Steve) Doyle, Natalie (Jared) Roper, Heather (Dan) Schulz, Alex Than, Adam (KateLynn) Bahrs and Stephanie (Paul) Brown; and 19 great-grandchildren, Justin, Paige, Katlynn, Ryan, Riley, Haylie, Casey, Trevyn, Makenna, Ashleigh, Colby, Averie, Brekyn, Madison, Skylie, Brooklyn, Brody, Easton and Graham. Noraine is also survived by her brother, Richard (Jeanne) Beyer; and beloved friend, Don Hyatt, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; Sisters, Janice (Cycil) Braughton, Delores (Dick) Hayes, Dorothy (Al) Wilhelmi; brother, Edmund (Betty) Beyer, Jr.; and much beloved pets, Pierre, Suki, Schnapsie, Chen-Chen, Pepi and Teddie. A memorial service for Noraine is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, ASPCA or an organization of one's choice. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Richard Clark and the staff's at Lakeshore Manor and Hospice Alliance for all of their care and compassion provided to our mother, Noraine.
