Nona Katherine WilliamsRacine- Nona Katherine Williams, 87, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Friday, November 6, 2009.Nona was born in Racine on April 12, 1922 to Carl and Emma (nee: Chizek) Mikulecky. She was a graduate of William Horlick High School. She was married to Rudolph B. Kunz for 29 years. She married Harold Williams on June 23, 1973 and they had 14 years until his death on November 6, 1987. She enjoyed nature, flowers, interior decorating, reading and traveling. She was a member of Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church, The Hoy Nature Club and the ARC.Nona loved her two daughters, Sharon (Jim) Petrach and Kay Kunz; step daughter Roberta Williams; grandchildren, Addison (Betsy) Tower, Cameron ("Noon" Pancha) Tower, Kim (Steve Borkowski) Hansen and Charles (Rachel) Petrach; great Grandchildren, Sarah and Preston Tower and Veronica and Ezekiel Petrach. Nona was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is also survived by her brother Harvey Mikulecky, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and their extended families. Nona was preceded in death by her granddaughter Melanie Tower, sister Angeline, brothers Carl, Jr. and Clarence and her parents.Funeral services for Nona will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Tony Larsen officiating. Private interment will take place in Bohemian National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials to Olympia Brown Unitarian Church or the Family have been suggested.The family wishes to thank the staff at Ridgewood Care Center and the Danish American Home for their loving service and care.
