Nona Ellen CookRacine- Nona Ellen Cook, 70, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Saturday, July 3, 2010 with her family by her side.Nona was born in Unity in Marathon County on March 24, 1940 to Therlow "Bud" and Mildred (nee: Wetzel) Wolfe. She grew up and attended school in Hillsboro, WI. She married Bruce F. Cook at Emmaus Lutheran Church on November 22, 1978. Nona was employed at SC Johnson for 26 years, retiring as a Production Chief in 1998. Nona was known for her beautiful crafts, ceramics and her love for Christmas. She enjoyed all the time spent with her beloved family.Nona is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Bruce; children, Chris (Debbie) Fick, Robert Fick, William (Mary) Fick, David (Darlene) Fick, Tammy (Alice) Cook, and Daniel (Pamela) Fick; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grands; and sisters, Rosemary (Bob) Duncan and Marjorie (Dean) Newman. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. Nona was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Lucille Grace; daughter in law, Tina; and grandson, Robert, Jr.Funeral services for Nona will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials to the family have been suggested. Per Nona's request the family asks that everyone wear bright colors to celebrate Nona's life.
