Nicolasa Cervantes de ContrerasRacine- Nicolasa Cervantes de Contreras, 73, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis with her family by her side.Nicolasa was born in Texas on December 6, 1938 to Manuel and Maria (nee: Hurtado) Cervantes. She married her best friend and the love of her life, Jorge C. Contreras in Waukesha on March 28, 1960. Together they raised 5 children. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Jorge, Jr. and daughter in her heart, Nancy Toscano. Nicolasa had an open and giving heart. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for literature and loved to read.Nicolasa is survived by her loving husband, Jorge C. Contreras; children, Maria C. (Kenneth) Marzette, Dolores Contreras- Flores, Silvia Contreras, Jorge (Kim) Contreras and Jose (Keith) Contreras; grandchildren, Enrique and Santana Marzette, Monica and Damien Flores, Nicolas Contreras, Tiffany and Janet Wallace, Trina, Roberto and Jorge Contreras. She is also survived by great grandchildren, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Mass of Christian Burial for Nicolasa will be held at St. Richard Catholic Church on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Gramza officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.Nicolasa's family would like to thank Dr. Michael Mullane and the nursing staff at Select Specialty Hospital for their compassionate and loving care.
