John 14:3 says, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." Neal Robert Zobel was welcomed into the arms of his heavenly Father to the place prepared for him on October 25, 2017.Neal Zobel was born to his parents Cliff and Esther Zobel on November 4th, 1957. He saw himself as the prodigal son, ever returning to the Lord he loved. He had a big heart and lived his love out loud, kind and generous to all. Neal thought he'd always be a bachelor, but that all changed when he met, fell in love with, and married his soulmate Lynn on April 17, 2004. They shared the same sense of humor, a love for beauty and artistry, and care for others. Neal was the kind of person who would stop and empty his wallet to someone in need, because he considered himself as one in need, reliant on his Savior in this life and the next.Neal was an avid outdoorsman, and he loved animals, nature, hunting and fishing. He was an artisan who could take raw materials and turn them into amazingly beautiful pieces. He loved working in his shop and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all, Neal loved people. He loved his wife more than life itself, his sister Carolyn, his brother Paul, and his parents, along with his grandkids, nieces, nephews, and his many friends.Neal was preceded by his father Cliff Zobel, his brother Paul Zobel, and his nephew Luke Zobel. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Zobel, mother Esther Zobel, sister Carolyn (Dick) Raymaker, his step-mother Judy Zobel, many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and friends.So... assuredly, rest in peace dear Neal, we will see you in paradise. A funeral service for Neal will be held at St. Michael's Church, 4701 Erie Street, on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. with Fr. Dustin Fecht officiating.
