RACINE – Mildred Fuller Schaut, 88, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice, Saturday, November 15, 2014. Mildred (Mylle) was born in Cedar Rapids, IA on February 14, 1926 to Asa Levi and Edith (nee, Hutchinson) Fuller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edward Livingston Schaut. Mylle earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe College in 1948 and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She had a beautiful soprano voice and began her singing career at a local radio station when she was in junior high school. Mylle continued to sing throughout her life at many churches and civic events, most recently at Plymouth Congregational Church. She was a fabulous cook who took great pleasure in planning and preparing gourmet meals for family and friends. Survivors include her children, David Schaut of Andover, NY, Jan (Keith) Campbell of Fond du Lac, WI, Charles (Vicki) Schaut of Owensboro, KY, Richard (Kim) Schaut of Hidden Valley, CA, Amysue Schaut of Racine and Jonathan Schaut of Union Grove, WI; grandchildren, Abbie Honaker, Adan (Kristy) Schaut, Ned (Sarah) Schaut, Nick (Stephanie) Schaut, Amanda (Eddy) Terry, Adam Amad, Jennifer Parrish, Skyler Schaut, Levi Schaut and Tryston Schaut; and twelve great-grandchildren. Mylle is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jamie Schaut; and grandson-in-law, Joshua Honaker.In keeping with Mylle's wishes, a private family service will be held. Cremation has taken place.
