RACINE – Mike Kadamian, 95, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove on Thursday, November 24, 2016. Mike was born in Racine on October 27, 1921 to Kerkor and Verken (nee, Tavetian) Kadamian. He married the former Claire Butzine in Racine on June 20, 1953. Mike served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from Gorton Machine after which he worked at the Racine County Court House for thirteen years. Mike was a member of St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church. He was also a member of the V.F.W., the D.A.V. and the Moose Lodge #437. Survivors include his children, George (Sharon) Kadamian and Michael (Suzanne) Kadamian all of Racine and Richard Kadamian of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Heidi, Nathaniel, Lauren, Michael, Ruben and Stephanie; great granddaughters Madeline, Sophia, Elaina and Natalie; great-grandson, Adler. He is also survived by his brother, Parshag "Nick" Kadamian; and sister-in-law, Josephine Kadamian. Mike is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Manoog "George" Kadamian; and his sisters, Onar Kadamian and Margaret Kadamian; Funeral services for Mike will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Avedis Kalayjian officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic church or the Disabled American Veterans.
