RACINE – Michael A. Hayek, 60, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Mike was born on March 14, 1955 to Edward and Donna (nee, Gill) Hayek. He married Marcia (Ohlert) on June 20, 1983. Mike was a Civil Engineer, working with numerous public works projects over the years, last working with the Village of Caledonia. He enjoyed engineering, home construction, hunting, being outdoors, and fixing things. There was no project too big or small for Mike. Survivors include his wife, Marcia Hayek; children, Steven Hayek and Lisa Hayek; father, Edward Hayek; and his sisters and brother, Kitty (Wayne) Friend, Tina (Bill) Zache and Paul Hayek. Mike is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; and brother, John Hayek.Funeral services for Mike will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening, October 16, 2015 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery in Franklin, WI. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m.
