Obituary
He was born in Racine on August 23, 1935 to the late Michael and Ethel Mae (nee: Jensen) Devine.
Mike graduated from Park High School and proudly served in U.S. Army until his honorable discharge.
On March 28, 1964 he married Patricia A. Sorensen. Sadly, she passed away on January 25, 2013.
Mike was an avid golfer and a loyal Chicago Bear and Cub fan. He enjoyed his weekly card games at VFW Post # 1391 and ending his days with skosh of wine.
He is survived by his three daughters Deanna (Scott) Cook, Michelle (Matthew Traxler) Devine and Kerri (Andy Gyarmaty) Devine; his 4 grandchildren; his great-grandchild and his brother Patrick (Sandy) Devine.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a brother Steven Devine.
A memorial service for Michael will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Purath-Strand Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Emaus Lutheran Church, 1925 Summit Avenue, Racine, WI 53404 have been suggested.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the physicians, nurses and staff for the care and compassion shown to Mike in his final weeks.
