Merritt Healy Racine- Merritt Healy, 20, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Thursday, June 7, 2007 due to a motorcycle accident.Merritt was born in West Allis on February 22, 1987. He enjoyed working out, riding his motorcycle, and was an excellent cook. Merritt was good with kids and was always willing to help others even in death he helped others through tissue donation. He always had a smile on his face and never gave up. Survivors include his mother, Wendy K. Healy, maternal grandparents, Douglas and Antoinette Stevens; great grandparents, Jerry and Muriel Hendricks; aunt, Angel (Fiance Bob Markiewicz) Sorensen; special cousins, Lexi and Brianna Sorensen, Love of his life, Katie Douglas; niece and nephew, Erik and Elisa Douglas; Special friends, Joe Petkunas, David and Shawn Douglas, David (Julie) Douglas, Lauren Douglas; Kris Gursky, and Kevin Neilson. He is also survived by his father, Ryan Staudenraus, his four legged pal, Hennessey, other relatives, and many friends.A Memorial service for Merritt will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Private family interment will take place. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family have been suggested.
