Melonie J. Wahl Racine - Melonie J. (nee, Ager) Wahl, 58, passed away at Burlington Memorial Hospital on Sunday, June 15, 2008. Melonie was born in Racine on August 15, 1949 to Kenneth and IvaDell (nee, LaRose) Ager. She graduated from Wm. Horlick High School. Melonie married Charles Wahl, the love of her life. She was employed by S.C. Johnson for the past ten years. Melonie served as the Executive Director of the Miss Racine Pageant for 17 years, and most recently has served as the Executive Director for the S.H.H.H. (Self Help for the Hard of Hearing) for the past three years. Melonie enjoyed sewing and reading, especially Ellery Queen and collecting Rex Stout books. Melonie loved anything Disney, especially Lady and the Tramp. Her two cocker spaniels, Mackie and Chonie were her love and her ears. Survivors include her husband, Charles Wahl; mother, IvaDell Ager; sisters and brother, Marlene (Jess) Holbrook, William 'Wild Bill' Ager and Mardell (Rob) Fisher; nephew, Nicholas Fisher; and niece, Samantha Fisher; and special friends, Dottie and Doug. Melonie is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services for Melonie will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
