Hales Corners- Maxine A. Koss, 83, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 27, 2010.Maxine was born in Eland, Wisconsin on November 2, 1926 to James and Marie (nee: Balthazor) Hoffman. She married Joseph R. Koss on October 4, 1947. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1990. Maxine was an active member of St. Mary's Church in Hales Corners. She enjoyed volunteering at the church and going with her sister, Charlotte to clean at her nephews hair salon. Her biggest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Maxine is survived by her daughter, Donna (Karl) Devine; and sons, Joseph (Terry), Thomas (Gail), Timothy (Anne) and Jamie (Barbara) Koss; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Charlotte Marinello. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.Private family services for Maxine will be held at a later date.
