Obituary
Mary Catherine (Seitz) Smith, 82, passed away on May 24, 2025, at Parkview Gardens memory care unit. Her daughter and granddaughters were by her side. Mary was born in Racine on July 27, 1942, the daughter of Francis M. and Alex J. Seitz. Mary graduated from St. Catherine's High School in 1961. Mary loved reading and sending birthday cards. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and crossword puzzle master. Mary loved Cousins subs, the color purple and fudge.
Survivors include her daughter Teesha Lieber, her granddaughter Emma (Alula) Lieber, her granddaughter Katherine Lieber, her grandson Georgie Lieber, her brother Robert (Jackie) Seitz, her sister Ann (Shelby) King, her sister-in-law Elaine Seitz and 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Glen Alexander Smith, her parents, her sister Jean King, her brother David Seitz, her brother Thomas Seitz and her niece Jeannie King.
Burial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday July 26, 2025, at Calvary Cemetery & Mausoleum 2510 Kinzie Ave. Racine, WI 53405. Immediately following the burial services, a Celebration of Life and Luncheon will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1p.m. at the Purath-Strand Funeral Home located at 3915 Douglas Ave. Racine WI 53402. All are welcome.
