Obituary

Mary Schrank, 75 (nee: Moczydlowski) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 19, 1950, to the late Frank and Anna Moczydlowski and grew up on the South Side of Milwaukee. Mary graduated from Bay View High School in 1968.

On June 7, 1975, Mary married the love of her life, Richard Schrank. Two years later, they moved to Caledonia, where Mary made a house a home and shared nearly 50 years of cherished memories. Sadly, Richard passed away on August 2, 2011.

Mary retired from Boucher Automotive Group after 25 years of dedicated service. In retirement, she enjoyed the simple things that brought her happiness: reading a good book, watching Hallmark movies, cheering on the Brewers and beautifully decorating her home for every holiday. She treasured the time caring for her grandsons and rooting for them at sporting events.

Above all, Mary loved having her family around her. She was happiest when her home was filled with the people she loved. She had a gift for making sure no one ever left her house hungry.

Mary was quiet and kind, with a heart of gold. She always put the needs of others before her own. Though soft-spoken, she was never without a sarcastic quip when the moment called for it. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Tony (Samantha) Schrank and LeAnn (Kevin) Zastrow; grandchildren, Ryan and Adam; sisters, Ann Trzebiatowski and Judy Moczydlowski; and her faithful companion, Charlie.

Mary leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, family traditions, and memories that will be treasured forever. Her greatest legacy is the love she gave so freely to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral services honoring Mary’s life will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Purath-Strand Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Mary will be laid to rest privately alongside her husband in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee.
