Obituary
She was born in South Milwaukee on December 15, 1942 to the late Bernard and Tessie (nee: Paradowski) Zawacki.
She is survived by her daughter Christine (Jason King) Horner-King; her sister Josephine (Zawacki) Kurtz; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Richard (Georgia) Horner, Carol (John) Brack, Susan Heidingsfelder, and Andre Kassabian. Mary is further survived by nieces and nephews and her long time friends Bruce and Nancy Statezny.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Horner Sr., her son Gerald Horner Jr., her brother Joseph Casimer "Casey" Zawacki, her sister Janet April (Zawacki) Kassabian and her infant sisters Bernice and Michelle.
Mary's family wishes to extend a special thank you to Emily Kastenson APNP and Dr. Bawaadan of Advocate Aurora; the hospice, senior care healthcare, and lay professionals especially Lisa, Lynn, Kathy and Syniah for the love and compassion to maintain Mary's quality of life and all the staff of the Hospice Alliance Hospice House for the care and compassion shown to her.
Mary will be laid to rest privately alongside her husband in West Lawn Memorial Park.
