Mary J. Ferguson 79, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Dimensions Living in Kenosha.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 11, 1947 to the late Leonard F. and Mary E. (nee: Kelly) Peters.
Mary was a 1965 graduate of Our Lady of the Angels High School.
On February 3, 1968 she married Timothy J. Ferguson in Cincinnati. They were blessed with 32 years of marriage and five children. Sadly, Tim passed away on January 5, 2001.
Mary was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Paragould, AR and enjoyed signing in the church choir. She loved to dance and listen to Rock & Roll music with her husband Tim. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed painting. The companionship of cats and dogs and sipping an ice-cold diet pepsi gave her great joy.
She will be remembered for her kindness and sense of humor by her children Shannon Ferguson-Munns, Shane Ferguson, Sandra (Jason) Kelley, Sarah (Charlie) Mack and Stephen (Shannon) Ferguson; her grandchildren Rev. Joseph Hassler, Timothy Hassler, Rachelle (Shannon) Horton, Aiden Kelley, Elizabeth Barden, Vincent (Lexie) Barden, Payton Ferguson and Jordan Ferguson; and her great granddaughter Natalia.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by her brother Leonard “Bob” Peters.
Mary will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
