Mary Louise ChristmanRacine- Mary Louise Christman, 84, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Thursday, February 24, 2011.Mary was born in Racine on November 23, 1926 to Alberie and Martha (nee: Bovyn) Goossens. Mary worked at Turn-style until it closed in 1978, becoming a member of the "Turn-style Ladies" and was later employed at Multi-Products until her retirement. She was an avid card player and loved to do jigsaw puzzles, enjoying socializing with her many friends at Lincoln Villas South where she resided until recently. Mary was a regular bowler at Castle Lanes, being very proud of her 222 game scored in the Castle Lanes Summer League of 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially adored her great-grandchildren.Mary is survived by her children, Carol (Earl) Falkner, Gary (Kathryn) Christman and Ronald (Connie) Christman all of Racine; seven grandchildren, Steven (Lynne) Christman, Carrie (John) Miller, Brian (Rachel) Christman, Nicole Christman, Collin Christman, Darrell Miller and Dawn Miller and seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Irene Christman; her very special friend for many years, Vernon Jump and her former husband, Richard Christman as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Victor Goossens and her grandson, Scott Christman.Funeral services for Mary will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11: 30 a.m. with Rev. William Dietzler. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross, Hwy. 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
