Racine – Marvin E. Andersen, 65, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Sunday, September 16, 2012. Marv was born in Racine on November 11, 1946 to Einer and Lillian (nee, Anderson) Andersen. Marv and Donna (nee, Krenzke) were married on June 1, 1968 and celebrated 44 years of marriage. Marv was employed by J.I. Case Company from which he retired after more than thirty-three years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Dania Society and the Twenty Year Club at Case Company. Marv was Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 272 at church for many years. He loved camping, fishing and his motorcycle, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Donna; children, Kristen (Steve) Schlicht and Erik (Andrea) Andersen; grandchildren, Joshua and Katelyn Schlicht; sister, Marleen (James) Johnson; mother-in-law, LaVerne Krenzke; and brothers-in-law, John (Vicky) Krenzke and Tom Krenzke. Marv is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, John Krenzke. A memorial service for Marv will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 3700 Washington Avenue, on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 6 p.m. with Rev. Randall Poppe officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or the Boy Scouts of America.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs of Wheaton Franciscan ICU and Hospice for all of their compassionate care they provided to Marv.
