Marlan L. Dykstra" Mike" RACINE- Marlan L. "Mike" Dykstra, age 84, passed away at Racine Commons on June 26, 2017. Mike was born in Racine on December 7, 1932 to John and Blanche (nee; Hroda) Dykstra. He was a lifelong resident of Caledonia and co- owner of Dykstra Excavating. Mike was an avid trap shooter and golfer. He enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife Angela until she preceded him in death in 2002. Mike is survived by his children, Michelle (Sam) Hagopian and Douglas (Margaret) Dykstra; sisters, Darlene Egvet and Gayle Freudenwald and brothers John and Todd Dykstra. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his brother Lowell. In keeping with Mike's wishes no services will be held. A private interment will take place.Memorials may be directed to the Caledonia Historical Society.
