Mark A. Strand-Kollaszar, age 40, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Mark was born in Racine on May 5, 1985, to Mark and Debra (nee: Strand) Phillips. A lover of music and adventure, Mark found joy in attending musicals and going on cruises. He had recently begun a journey toward becoming the healthiest and best version of himself, embracing life with renewed purpose and positivity.
Mark possessed a generous heart and was always there to support his mother in any way he could. They enjoyed gardening together. His compassion extended to animals as well—he was a devoted dog lover who cherished his beloved companions Chloe, Maggie, and Toby.
Mark is survived by his mother, Debra Strand, brother Michael (Stephanie) Phillips, uncles Gary (Gay) Strand, Dennis (Diane) Strand and James Strand and cousins Terry Maier, Jennifer (Robert) Hurt and Ryan Strand. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his father Mark Phillips and grandparent Leigh and Beverly Strand.
Mark will be remembered for his kindness, his passion for the things he loved, and the care he showed to those closest to him. His absence leaves a deep void, but his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
A private service for Mark will be held in Naples, FL where he will be laid to rest.
