Obituary

Racine - Comforted by nieces, Marjorie E. Renak, 100, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Thursday, June 13, 2013.Marjorie was born in Kenosha in 1912 to David and Cleo (nee: Graham) Williams. She was united in marriage to Delmar Renak at First United Methodist Church in Racine on May 26, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2004. Marjorie cared for children for several years and was employed by the Samuel Lowe Book Company in Kenosha for 17 years. After her marriage, she became a homemaker. Marjorie was a Sunday School teacher and member of Franksville United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed bird watching, reading and writing poetry, embroidery, gardening and making greeting cards from pressed flowers. A shared pot of tea with visitors and guiding them for walks in the Renak Woods were simple pleasures. Survivors include first-generation nieces and nephews, Gene Ahnen, Pat Becker, Jerry Ahnen, Janet Feest, Kathy Heinen, Mary Halvorson, Margaret McCutcheon, Beth Lindman, Jerry Williams, Judy Beecher, Joyce Bernhardt, Dorothy Hartwig, Sally Bowers, Sue Hilliard, Tom Pietras, Jan Wenszell, Cheri Petricek, many second-, third-, and fourth-generation nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who have held her close for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters and brothers-in-law, Genevieve and John Ahnen, Helen and Herb Lehman, Jane and Carl Pietras, twin brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Isabelle Williams, sister-in-law, Lydia Renak, niece Marilyn Lutze, and nephews Tim Williams and Jim Williams.Funeral services for Marjorie will be held at Franksville United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marty Williams officiating. Interment will take place in Bohemian National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials have been suggested to Franksville United Methodist Church or Chiwaukee Prairie Fund. The family wishes to thank the staff at Harmony Commons and Ridgewood Care Center, particularly on Two East, for all of their care and compassion to Marjorie and support of the family.
