Marilyn Ann Bodeau(nee: Borke)Racine- Marilyn Ann Bodeau, 70, passed away at her residence on January 9, 2008.She was born in Racine on February 4, 1937 to William and Elizabeth (nee: Spanbauer) Borke. Marilyn lived in the Racine area all her life. She graduated from Horlick High School in 1955. Marilyn was united in marriage to Paul S. Bodeau on June 22, 1957. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1989. She was a very active volunteer in school, church and the community. Her home was always open to family, friends, and those in need. Although a stroke left her disabled in 1980 she continued to manage her household and provide inspiration to others through her courage.Marilyn is survived by four children, Terri (Nicholas Jr.) Glaser of Wauwatosa, Anne of Racine, Kathleen (Rick) Vork of Richburg, SC and Richard of South Milwaukee; four grandchildren, Nicholas III and Andrew Glaser, Victoria and Vivian Vork; brother, William (Lynn) Borke, sister, Leeann (Daniel) Naughton; brothers in law, Joseph (Dorothy) Bodeau and William Bodeau. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Elizabeth.A Memorial Mass celebrating Marilyn's life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Sunday evening from 4:30 p.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations to one's favorite charity. According to Marilyn's wishes her body was donated to science.
