Marie Joyce Nielsen, 63, passed away on June 17, 2022 at Wheaton Franciscan in Racine. She was born June 24, 1958. She was the daughter of Joyce and Thomas Matson, and was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Matson Jr. Her life will be forever cherished by remaining siblings Arthur, Edna, Sharon and Russell. She is also survived and lovingly remembered by her long-time partner Ralph Nielsen. Marie had one child, daughter Ginger, grandchildren Sasha and Bowyn, and and great-grandchild Donovan, all whom she adored dearly.
Marie enjoyed writing and reading; she read copious amounts of books of which she routinely won reading challenges. She enjoyed tending to and planting flowers, and tending to her ample yard of trees and bamboo.
Marie was known for her generous nature and was always ready to lend a hand or offer help to friends and family. She is very loved and missed by all who knew her.
