Marie M. Meyer Racine - Marie M. Meyer, 83, passed away at Wheaton-Franciscan - St. Mary's on Friday, March 16, 2007. Marie was born in Fond du Lac on October 3, 1923 to Christian and Elisabeth (nee, Steiben) Meyer. She had been employed by Hamilton Beach, Western Publishing and retired from Eitel's. Marie was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and sang in the choir for many years. She was a member of ABWA, the American Business Women's Association. Survivors include her nephew, Lawrence (Jane) Kraus of Racine; nieces, Julie (Douglas) Merow of Kenosha and Connie (Larry) Winbauer of Minneapolis, MN; brother-in-law, Edward Kraus of Racine; 5 great nieces and nephews; and 9 great great nieces and nephews. Marie is also survived by other relatives and many friends. Funeral Services for Marie will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 725 High Street, on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 4 p.m. with Rev. James F. Peters officiating. Interment will take place in Caledonia Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Sunday afternoon from 3 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
