Racine- Marian J. Meiter,83, passed away at her residence on Sunday, December 31, 2017.Marian was born in Iron Mountain, MI on March 27, 1934 to Lynn and Bernice (nee: Bedore) Hartlerode. She married George Meiter, who preceded her in death on May 2, 1970. Marian was a member of the Racine Kennel Club. She enjoyed in Breeding and training shelties.Marian is survived by her sons, Edward Meiter and Robin (Mary) Meiter, grandchildren, Tanya Meiter, Tyler Meiter, Tami Anderson, Ashley Dillett, and Matthew Meiter, 7 great grandchildren, lifelong friend Sharon worm, her K-9 babies, Laci and Sierra and K9 grandbaby, Ruger. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. Marian was preceded in death by her brother David and sister Sharon. Funeral services for Marian will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Sunset Cemetery in Ohio. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
