Maria Adela Contreras Marzette RACINE – Maria Adela Contreras Marzette, 55, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Maria was born in Racine on July 13, 1960 to Jorge C. and Nicolasa (nee, Cervantes) Contreras. On July 17, 1993, Maria married the love of her life, Kenneth Marzette and they renewed their vows on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Maria was a great wife and mother and loved music, dancing, family gatherings and a glass of fine wine. She worked at K-Mart for over 35 years. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Marzette; sons, Enrique Marzette and Santana Marzette; father, Jorge C. Contreras; and her sisters and brothers, Dolores C. Flores, Silvia Contreras, Tony (Kim) Contreras and Jose (Keith) Contreras. Maria is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends that she considered family. She was preceded in death by her mother; and brother, Jorge C. Contreras, Jr. A visitation for Maria will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning, October 31, 2015 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
