HORICON – Marcille V. Janowski, 96, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Marcille was born in Caledonia, WI on September 16, 1921 to Wenzel and Angeline (nee, Simon) Kaplan. She married Edmund F. Janowski, celebrating 61 years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 2002. Marcille enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Joanne Nikkila and Edmund L (Susan) Janowski; and her grandchildren, Neil (Kathy) Nikkila, Paul (Susie) Janowski, Nancy (Matt) Kraus, David (Tamara) Janowski and Anne (Dan) Spaeth; Marcille is also survived by ten great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Elsie Kaplan, Arnold and Ida Kaplan, and Elmer and Mary Kaplan; and her son-in-law, Irving Nikkila. In keeping with Marcille's wishes a private family service will be held. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marcille's memory may be directed to Friends of St. Rita's School.
