RACINE – Marc J. Rother, 67, passed away at Ascension All Saints on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Marc was born in Milwaukee on October 29, 1949 to Erv and Lois (nee, Koehler) Rother. He married the former Mary Dvorachek, celebrating 41 years of marriage. Marc graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1972. He retired from Unit Forgings in West Allis in 2015. Marc enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing. Survivors include his wife, Mary Rother; son, John (Crystal) Rother; daughter, Amy (Zach) Gebhardt; grandsons, Colby and Jake Rother; his father, Erv Rother; and sister, Kim (Mark) Topczewski. Marc is also survived by a niece, nephews, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral services for Marc will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Bohemian National Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to a charity of one's choice. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Ascension All Saints for all their compassionate care.
