Green Bay, WI – Mae C. Marweg, 99, passed away at Angels on Arcadian on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Mae was born in Big Falls, WI on April 18, 1913 to Herman and Mary (nee, Johne) Kitzmann. She married Melvin Marweg at St. John's Lutheran Church on March 11, 1933. He preceded her in death in 1972. Mae was employed by The Prairie School, retiring in 1969. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Racine Lutheran High School Guild. In her mid 80's, Mae made a road trip with her son Gib to Fairbanks, Alaska to visit her granddaughter, Monica and family. She did not have a driver's license, but knew every bus route in Racine. In 2003 she moved to Green Bay, WI to be closer to her son and family. Survivors include her son, Ron (Juanita) Marweg; daughter, Marlene (Bob) Lampman; nine grandchildren, Monica (Phil) Beard, Gregg (Julie) Marweg, Pam (Jesse) Hansen, David (Sandra) Marweg, Chris (Melissa) Marweg, Cindy (Ann) Lampman, Arlene (John) Kelly, Lynn (Joseph) Rotenberry, Lance Lampman; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Lou Kitzmann; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mae was preceded in death by her son, Gilbert Marweg; three brothers, Harvey, Arthur and Harry Kitzmann; and her two sisters, Lena Kitzmann and Bertha Lloyd. Funeral services for Mae will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Feldscher officiating. Interment will follow at Mound Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church or School, or Racine Lutheran High School. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Angels on Arcadian and Angels Touch Assisted Living for all of their compassionate and loving care.
