Obituary

-    Mae Dorothy Kinsley-Udell  86, of Sturtevant passed away peacefully at All Saints Hospital on January 20, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Mae was born in Park Falls, Wisconsin on October 27, 1938 to the late Bill and Dorothy (Marsh) Skopec.  Mae attended high school in Winter, WI and played drums in the marching band.  In Winter, Mae married Raymond D. Kinsley and they eventually settled in Racine, raising six children.  After 33 years of marriage, Ray was unexpectedly killed in an accident.  Afterward, while attending a grief support group, Mae met widower LeRoy Udell.   They were married for 31 years until LeRoy's death in 2021.  In addition to her husbands, Mae was preceded in death by her sister, Caroline Melchert, son in law Alex Trevino, grandson Nick Stedman and great grandson Finnegan Eisner.

Survivors include her children, Dolores (Richard) Krencisz, Suzanne Trevino, Raymond (Carol) Kinsley, Barbara (Tom) Trevino, Michael (Sue) Kinsley, and Gary (Janet) Kinsley, LeRoy's daughters Dianna (Mark) Otto, Lynn (Matthew) Sobon, and Dawn Udell, and a clan of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  Mae loved dearly her large family and was extremely proud of them all.

As a young mother, Mae began driving school bus. Eventually, she moved into a supervisor position and took over training the new bus drivers.  She took a lot of pride in teaching all the bus drivers to be the best they could be.  She retired as a Safety Director.  She enjoyed bowling, sewing and was a very lucky and competitive card player.  The family enjoyed many camping trips and trips to the family cabin in Winter.  Mae was also the loudest voice in the stands cheering at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially sharing stories.  In her last few years at Killarney Kourt, she made many friends that also loved to play cribbage, cards, Rack-O, Wi Bowling, and any other games they offered there.  She was very competitive and she liked to take everyone's pennies or nickels when she won.We were blessed to be able to call her mom. She will live on in our hearts forever.
