RACINE – Lyola O. Draeger, 96 passed away with her family by her side at Ascension All Saints on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Lyola was born in Laona, WI on February 23, 1921 to Theodore and Emma (ne Diefenbach) Lambert. On January 12,1947 in Racine, WI she was married to Charles W. Draeger. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1976. Lyola had worked as a LPN at St. Mary's Hospital, Racine, WI, before becoming a full-time homemaker. She loved to cook, read romance novels and everyone knew not to call her when Dancing With The Stars was on. She had a close group of friends who she enjoyed playing cards with for many years. She was a long-time member of Christ The King Lutheran Church and Kings Daughters. Survivors include her daughters, Cyndi (Ken) Wahl and Pam (Rick) Kavalauskas; grandchildren, Rob (Heather Coolidge) Law, Scott (Andrea) Law, Dan Wahl, Jason (Sarah) Kavalauskas, Ryan (Tina) Kavalauskas and Kyle (Carrie) Kavalauskas; and her great-grandchildren, Penelope, Violet and Amelia Law, Sam, Kennedy and Caleb Coolidge, and Charlie Mae, Wyatt and Cameron Kavalauskas. Lyola is also survived by a niece, two nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Rev. Lloyd Lambert. In keeping with Lyola's wishes a private family service was held with Rev. J Gullion officiating. Interment took place at Mound Cemetery.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of Lyola's neighbors who helped her throughout the years. It was greatly appreciated.
