Obituary

Raymond – Louie E. Orlando, 95, passed away at his home, while being held in the loving arms of his family, on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Louie was born in Crivitz, WI on June 28, 1917 to Anton and Mary (nee, Porfilio) Orlando. He served in the U.S. Army 94th Mortar Battalion during WWII. On November 25, 1948, Louie married the former Lillian Armato in Milwaukee. He farmed for many years and retired from American Motors Corp. in 1976 after more than 30 years. Louie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior many years ago and remained faithful all the days of his life. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Orlando; children, Dennis (Rhonda) Orlando, Mary (Bruce) Stockwell, Louie (Jeannine) Orlando, Jr. and James (Julie) Orlando; grandchildren, Sheila (John) Nelson, JoAnn (Scott) Breuchel, Lisa (Ray) Yucha, Lauri (Greg) Theisen, Jennifer (Paul Maier) Orlando, Dennis J. Orlando, Vincent (Stephanie) Orlando, Brandon (Kristen) Orlando, Lindsay Orlando and Nicole Orlando; step-grandchildren, Kevin Wilson and Bryan Wilson; ten great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Leonard (Myra) Orlando, Stella Frontczak, John (Marie) Orlando, Annie Katers, Carl (Pat) Orlando, Ralph (Pat) Orlando and Paul (Virginia) Orlando; and his sister-in-law, Viola Orlando. Louie is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Orlando; and sisters, Helen Alpern and Josephine Orlando. Funeral services for Louie will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and have another opportunity at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Gentiva Hospice for their loving care and support.
