Lorraine Laura Caroline PilllingRacine- Lorraine Laura Caroline Pilling, 90, passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 25, 2012.Lorraine was born in High Cliff, Wisconsin on September 21, 1921 to Eugene and Laura (Fiedler) Gall. She married Eugene Pilling in High Cliff on February 14, 1940. They lived on a farm in Stockbridge until 1947when they moved to Racine. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1999. Lorraine was a homemaker. She was a member of Tops. Lorraine loved reading and crafts. She also enjoyed making birthday and wedding cakes.Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Al) Vertz of Franksville; son Leonard (Pat) Pilling of Racine; grandchildren, Al (fiance Shannon) Vertz, Jr., of Milwaukee, Kevin (Lisa) Vertz of Racine, Daniel Vertz of St. Francis, Michael Vertz of Franksville, Dana (Jason) Melzer of Allenton and Leonard (Michelle) Pilling of Racine; 9 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren, and sister Betty Glacier of Appleton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Jamie Vertz; great granddaughter Lily Ann Vertz; sister Pearl Harold; brothers Earl Gall and Art (Gert) Gall and brother - in -law, Harold (Betty) Pilling.Funeral services for Lorraine will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
