Lorraine Cox"Sue Belle" RACINE – Lorraine Cox, 82, passed away at her home on Monday, May 29, 2017. Lorraine was born in Racine on June 15, 1934 to Casper and Emily (nee: Phillips) Menes. She married John Cox, Sr. in Racine on June 30, 1956. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2000. Lorraine was a humble and devoted Christian who lived her faith. She was a member of Catholic Women, serving as the treasurer and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Lorraine enjoyed playing Sheepshead and was a member of numerous card clubs. She was a fantastic cook, a Brewers and Packers fan, and an avid reader. Survivors include her children, Colleen Cox, Jack (Sandy) Cox all of Racine, Patricia (Kim) Anderson of Oshkosh, Marie (Leif) Monson, and Joseph Cox, both of Racine; her grandchildren, Jamie (Heather) Anderson, Rochelle (Joshua) Lietz and Nina Baumann, Andrew (Brittany) Cox and Courtney Cox, Molly, Anna and Neil Monson, and Emily, Erin (Fianc Nathan Lamberton) and Ryan Cox; great grandchildren, Daniel, Lucas, Troy, Hannah, Serenity, Lauren, Isaiah, Charles and Maya, and brother Casper (Elaine) Menes. Lorraine is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave celebrated by Rev. Ricardo Martin. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday morning from 10: 00 until the time of Mass.
