Lorraine F. Caravello"Button"Racine- Lorraine F. "Buttons" Caravello, 88, passed away at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Saturday, January 22, 2011.Lorraine was born in Aberdeen, SD on October 23, 1922 to Edward and Clara (Mauel) Gunz. She married Peter Caravello on July 30, 1949 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death May 6, 2005. Lorraine worked at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Hospital as a Medical Assistant for 30 years, retiring in 1978.She is survived by her sister, Elsie Fucile, nephew John (Kathleen) Fucile; nephews, William (Heather), Peter, Michael and Thomas and brother in law, Anthony Caravello. Lorraine is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother in law, Ralph Fucile and sister in law, Joan Caravello.A memorial service for Lorraine will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials to Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin (GRRoW) have been suggested.
