Racine – Lillian E. Rickert, 91, passed away at Woodstock Health & Rehabilitation Center on Friday, November 25, 2011. Lillian was born in Racine on June 12, 1920 to Michael and Mary Mizynski. She married George N. Rickert and had been married forty-four years. He preceded her in death in 1986. Lillian was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, and the Christian Mother's. She also enjoyed her card and bunco clubs. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Terry) Nelson; daughter-in-law, Georgia Rickert; grandchildren, Michael Nelson and Jennifer (John) VerMeulen; and her sister, Irene Holstrom. Lillian is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph Rickert; brothers, Frank Mizynski and Casmir Mizynski; and her sisters, Saby Pesmark and Stella Anderson. The Mass of Christian Burial for Lillian will be held at St. Rita Parish, 4339 Douglas Avenue, on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Kevin C. Mullins, O.S.A. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials may be directed to St. Rita Parish or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
