Racine- Lillian Mae Mogden, 104 passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Parkside Manor, Kenosha.
She was born in Lovilia, Iowa on June 23, 1921 to the late Samuel H. and Mary (nee: Miner) Ford.
On November 12, 1949 in Crown Point, Indiana, Lil married Emil Mogden at Trinity Lutheran Church. Sadly, he passed away May 21, 1994.
She was a homemaker and was employed as a secretary with law firms and Armours and Oster's in Racine until her retirement in 1960.
Lil was an active and faithful member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the Women's Friendship Group. She served as an alter guild, flower chairman and church greeter. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her four sons Michael (Nancy J.) Mogden, Steven (Virginia) Mogden, Jeffrey (Nancy L.) Mogden and Patric (Colleen) Mogden; her grandchildren Jeremiah (Ashley) Mogden, Joshua Schoeller, Nicholas (Laura) Mogden, Justin (Heather) Mogden, Matthew Mogden, Jessica Spencer, Kevin Spencer, Stephanie (Mike) Hupp and her former granddaughter-in-law Amber Estes; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lil is preceded in death by her daughter Mona Marie Mogden, her brother Samuel Ford and her granddaughter Zena Mogden.
A memorial service for Lillian will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Purath-Strand Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be held in Graceland Cemetery.
